The guidelines for formal nurse aide program in Maine are laid down by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Services. Each program program in the state is administered by the Department of Health and Human Services. Approved CNA classes in Maine comprise of 180 hours of rigorous program which include 70 hours of clinical practice, 20 hours of clinical laboratory work, and 90 hours of classroom instructions.
