CNA Program In Oklahoma

The CNA aspirant must meet the following requisites, in order to enroll in an approved CNA program.

• CNA aspirant must be at least 18 years of age.
• To enter the CNA program, an aspirant must hold a High School Diploma or GED.
• A criminal history background check is required.
• Candidate must undergo a TB skin test within 6 months of getting enrolled for CNA classes.
• Person must pass a sex offender check.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.

CNA classes in Oklahoma require a candidate to complete 96 hours of total program. This includes 72 hours of classroom instruction and 24 hours of supervised clinical program. After completing the CNA course, a candidate can take up the CNA certification exam within 2 years.  Three attempts are available for passing the exam, but if a person is not able to clear the exam within these attempts, then s/he might have to repeat the course.

CNA Program program in the state costs you around $650 – $1000. Besides, an additional amount of $130 is charged as an examination fee.

In the nurse aide program program, an aspirant develops basic nursing and personal care skills.  Following topics are covered during the program period:

Answer: Candidate with a criminal history is not eligible for CNA Program.

2. Once I finish the CNA program, in how much time I will have to pass the certification exam?

Answer: You have to take the licensure exam within two years.

Answer: The NAT program requires 96 hours to complete the curriculum that involves classroom and practical session.

There are some specific grants and scholarship programs offered through the Oklahoma University. These scholarship programs are open for students studying at the UO. Nurse Association of Oklahoma also conducts scholarship programs.

• A Representative Undergraduate Scholarship- Gladys and James Lepley Scholarship The scholarship is available to the individuals facing poor financial situation. To become eligible for the program, student must be enrolled in a full-time accredited program. Secondly, s/he should maintain a minimum GPA of 3.75. Thirdly, the applicant must be a resident of OK and able to demonstrate financial need.
